3 attackers, 3 defenders, 1 GK set up as shown (2 groups)
Instructions:
Ball begins with players 1, same as previous activity
Player 1 uses driblling technique to move away from defender and create space to pass to player 2
Player 2 now has a defender trying to prevent the pass into player 3, Player 1 may support his pass to help Player 2 get the ball into Player 3
Player 3 turns and finishes under pressure from the 3rd defender
To begin with, all defenders may only move sideways in between the two cones in there zone, cannot recover to help other defenders or step up to win the ball
Defenders are allowed to win the ball by intercepting the pass or if the attacker comes into there zone
Coaching Points:
Check shoulder before receiving to know the position of the defender
All previous points
Progressions:
Defenders are fully live once the receiving player in their zone takes his first touch, but will stop defending when the ball is played past them. Defenders are still not allowed to recover to help the other defenders.
