Structure:
2 grids 10x12 grid. 3 DEF in each Zone. 6 Perimeter players around the grid
Training load: moderate to high 4 sets of 2 min with 1 min rest. Then Switch DEF
Strategy:
Perimeter players are looking to possess the ball for a total of 10 passes to get a point. The perimeter players can play any other perimeter player. They can Switch the field of play if necessary. Defenders are looking to stay compact and not allow any penetrating passes through the 3 defenders.
Key Factors:
When Perimeter player runs in, first DEF marks, pulls supporting player to drop so they cannot split.
Defending as a unit. Looking to cut off penetrating passes. Speed and angle of approach. Constant communication. Looking to delay the attack with Pressure, cover, balance
Looking to cur off the space quickly. Pressing on cues= bad pass, while ball is moving or in air. Last player must zonal mark in Central Channel
Progressions:
1) Limit touches.
2) Add a neutral player on the inside to help the perimeter players3) allow the 6 DEF to defend as an entire group.

Structure: 18 yards by 36 yards. 2 GKs, Two teams of eight compete but each team has different objectives. The white team plays possession and is able to use their teammates that are positioned on the side lines of the area. They would need to combine a total of 6 passes to score. The red team attempts to score on either goal while using their teammates who are positioned on each end line.
Zones: 3 and 4
Training load: moderate to high - 4 sets of 4 min 1 min res WRR 4:1
Strategy: The white players must work hard to get the ball away from the red team. Red team must move into shooting positions quickly once the ball is won. The White team keeps the ball as long as possible
Key Factors:
Angles of support. Being proactive to find space and allow player in possession to play them.
Tactics:
1) Perimeter players need to be active and demand the ball. They need to create space by supporting on the flank.
2) When the ball is played to the perimeter players, players in the middle need to advance into areas of space to create goal scoring opportunities.
3) Possession needs to be played quickly around net to create chances to score.

In Possession
Looking to build possession into Zone 3 and 4 quickly. Once there we are looking to get ball into Central Channel to create goal scoring opportunities. Can create that with Overlaps/Overloads on flanks. Also creating it through central channel. Always looking to create numerical superiority, Players need to understand Cues and Triggers, when to leave, when to arrive.
