Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Human Stopwatch.

Human stopwatch (15 mins)

Method:

Set up: Game size is twice the penalty box.

Two goalkeepers.

5v5 in this example.

Mini goal set up to side of penalty box where players must shoot from behind and between orange cones.

Divide players into 3 equal teams.

2 teams play off in penalty area.

The third team is a human stopwatch, players take turns shooting at the mini goals.

As soon as the third team scores 10 goals, it replaces whichever team has been in the main game the longest.

However for first play the third team replaces the team with least goals.

Coaching Points:

Adjust the distance between shooting line to fit player’s ability.

Each team must choose a captain keep track of its teams wins in main game.

After 15 mins the team with most wins in main game WINS.
