Attacking team:
3 Forwards
3 midfelders
2 flank players
Defensive team
2 blocks of four players
Play starts with a throw from the goalkeeper. Attacking team gos to goal. If defending team wins the ball, they play either of the two targets for a point

Full field. 22 players (11v11) Numbers can be adapted for smaller group sessions
All players from the Blue team must be inside the opposition half in order to score a goal
The objective for both teams is to score goals. The Red team will have an emphasis on inviting the Blue team high un order to quickly counter attack and exploit space when possession is regained

WARM UP: DEFENDING TIPPNG
1. Player A passes to Player B and closes down on Player B. Player B dribbles at A who back peddles keeping the ball and Player B in front until they return to the line. Then the players switch sides
Player B should not be concerned with beating Player A
2, Player A and Player B face each other passing back and forth. On coach command, Player lets ball go between their legs and turn moving towards ball. Other player quickly closes preventing player with ball from turning. Keep arms length from player with ball,
3. The two players will work on block and poke tackling. Player stands about a foot from the ball. On coaches command, both players will plant their left foot and follow through with their right foot executing a block tackle. Then players will stand at a angle to the ball and on coaches commend perform a poke tackle

DEFENDING: INDIVIDUAL WIN FOR THE TEAM
4v1
Everyone receives a number 1-5. Each sequence lasts one minutes. To start, each team sends Player #1 to the opposite gird to defend. Whichever teams defender wins the ball/or ball leaves grid the most numbers of time wins a point for their team.
Rotate numbers to defend. After every number had defended, tally the points. Most points wins.
Variations:
Play for 2 minutes. Call out random number to switch and defend
Coach calls out "change" and a says a different player number is called to defend
