Transition - attacking drill

Set up
-3 teams of 4,5 depending on numbers
-1 ball between each team
- half field
Drill
- pass and move amongst your team
- unlimited touches
Progression
- bring in another ball 2 per team. Now you can pass to anybody, move quickly to support your teammate.

Set up-
-circle big enough for 9vs3 or 12v4
-if you lose the ball player to your right and left go into the middle
-if dedenders win the ball they must play the ball out of the circle, if not the outside players must quickly try to win the ball back. If atackers win the ball back they must make the circle big again and play keep away.

Set up
-4 cones
-25x25 yard grid, adjust as per numbers
-3 team of 4 or 5 ( adjust as per numbers) with one neutral player
-one team around the outside of the grid
Drill
-keep possession inside the grid
-players are to move the ball around and can use both the neutral player and the players on the outside
** once you lose possession the objective is to get the ball back quickly and then keep possession again.
-players on the outside have 2 touches( if they take more than 2 touches ball goes to the other team)
Progression
-Limit the number of touches
-3 touch
-2 touch
-competition go for a set amount of time the team with the most passes wins( not consecitive total passes).

Winning team stays on and losing team goes off

Set up
-half field split into 3 sections, the middle grid is about (7-8 yards)
-3 teams of 4, 2 goalies, 2 neutral players ( midfielders)
-bunch of balls
Drill
-coaches plays a pass into the middle grid ( green team), they become attacking team and play vs light green team.
- if the attacking team scores a goal, they receive the next ball from coach and now they are attacking the red team.
- if the red team ( or defending team) wins the ball they must pass the ball into one of the two midfieders, the midfielders must pass the ball back to the red team. If they complete the pass they now become the attacking team and must quickly attack the light green team, quick transitiion.
- this is a continuos drill.
Progression
-when the midfielder plays a pass to the attacking team they can join in and create an overload 5vs4.

Defending
- high pressure the player don't give them time
