Set-up:
The pitch is split into halves, as shown in the diagrams. 4v4 + 4 Neutrals. Team A plays against Team B, while Team C are fourneutral players.
Instructions:
1) The game starts with Team A in possession in onehalf of the pitch. In that half there is a 3v3 +3, withthe neutral players providing the width and depth torepresents wing-backs and a forward.The objective is for Team A to connect six passes to score a point, and then score a goal in one of the twomini-goals in that half for another point.
2) Team B defends as a three and aims to recover the balland counter-attack into the other half of the pitch byconnecting with their teammate in the other half or viathe neutral player.
3) Once Team B wins the ball, the neutral wing-backsswitch teams and become wing-backs for Team B. Twoplayers from Team A and two players from Team B jointhe play in the other half of the pitch, creating another3v3 +3.
4) If Team B scores via a counter-attack within threepasses of winning the ball, it is worth two points.
5) The defending team must make a pass into theattacking half within three passes, or the practicerestarts with the attacking team still in possession.
All players are on a maximum of two touches.
Notes: The neutral players must remain as close to the sidelinesand end lines as possible through the game.
Play four games of two and a half minutes, with 90seconds’ recovery between games. The neutral teamshould rotate between each game.

Set-up:
Normal pitch 40x50 with a midline set up as shown. 5v5 plus a keeper (6v6 if numbers allow) in one half and then 1v1 in the opposite half with GK and full sized goals.
Instructions:
1) Players play normal run of play and always from the GK but in order get into their attacking half, they must connect to the target in that half to join.
2) Once connected to the tarket, all but one remaining player from each team must join that half.

3 Team River Game
Set-up:
2 Zones with a 5 yard river in the middle. 3 teams of 4/5 players.
Instructions:
1) Team in possession(red) tries to connect 5 passes vs 2 of the central zone players (yellow) before attempting to deliver the ball to the other side through the river to earn a point. Central zone players can attempt to win the ball back in the river if can.
2) If the ball gets across, the team in the new zone (white) tries to do the same as the defending team (yellow) must now send 2 players in to defend in the new zone.
3). If the defending team wins the ball and can get it across to the opposite zone, then they stay in the zone that they won the ball in and the team which they won the ball from now becomes the defending team in the river.
Coaching Points:
a) Back foot reception when available.
b) Open body shape
c) Split eliminates the most defenders if can
d) one touch or two touch is most effective
