Setup: REDS play 1-4-4 BLUE play 2-4-2
Game begins one red centre back is nominated to shout 'left' or 'right' to indicate the starting position of the throw in. This is so when the ball goes out, the backline is already communicating to setup early. The fullback throws to the keeper and play begins. Can the reds score into any of the 3 goals. Blues have maximum of 6 passes before they must score.
Condition: goalkeeper must release the ball within 5 seconds (or adapt time depending on ability/success) to encourage the back 4 to move early to create space.
Condition 2: Retreat the blue midfield back to the red cones in order to allow play from the back to develop.

Setup: RED: 2 centre backs, a right back and centre mid
BLUE: 2 strikers, a left mid and centre mid
Play begins with the full back throwing the ball back to the keeper, on the keepers 1st touch play is live. Can reds build from the back and dribble through either gates (2 poles). If blue steals they have a maximum of 4 passes before they must shoot.
AROUND: Can the reds play around the blues, either to the fullback or left centre back.
THROUGH: Can the reds thread passes between the lines of the blues
OVER: If the blues play high, can the keeper play over the blues into the space
Challenge: To encourage reds fullback to overlap starting the attack into the opposition half, can the reds play a 1-2 round the blue left mid for the fullback to score for 3 goals.
Challenge: If the blues can steal before the red cone and score they get 3 goals. This is to encourage realism when the opposition press aggresively/high.
Condition: Reds are struggling to play out, can the blues retreat behind the yellow cone to allow confidence to build and to tease out coaching points.
