Find A Friend Game.
Split the players into 2 teams.
Place one red player inside each red square and one blue player inside each blue square.
To score a point the red team have to pass the ball to one of the players inside one of the red squares.
A point is only recorded if the recieving player can successfully control the pass.
The player inside the square must now play out to one of the corresponding coloured players and they must now try to get the ball to the player in the opposite corner.
Coaching Points:
Are they getting enough success?
Do you need to vary the size of the corner areas? Is the pitch too big/small?
Progressions:
To score a point you must play a 1-2 with the corner player. The corner player must only use one touch otherwise the point does not count.
To score a point the corner player must make a first time pass to a 3rd man.
The player passing the ball in to his team mate then swaps position and becomes the target player.
Introduce a halfway line. You can only score a point if the whole team are in the attacking half.

Another Progression.
Remove two of the target squares and play directional game diagonally.
Coaching Points:
Ask the defending team which areas they might want to force the opposing team into. Where is safe and where is the danger?
End with a match, time and progress permitting!

Arrival Activity:
As players arrive split them into the 3 pitches and get them playing mini matches.
I will set up 3 pitches this week as it got a bit too cramped on 2 last week!
We can use these pitches for the main practice as well. Depending on numbers we can play 2 or 3 games of Find A Friend.
