Delay, Deny, Dictate
Organisation
2 teams, 2 goals, 2 GK's, 4 Poles
Area Size
40 x 26
Timings
4 x 3 minute games
Explanation
Two players attack a goal and shoot before they enter the final zone.
• As soon as they have had their shot two players from the opposition team enter the pitch and attack the opposite goal.
• The two players that had just been attackers now become defenders.
• Once players have defended they leave the pitch and wait to come on as attackers again.
Four poles are situated on the outside of the area behind the goal or to the side of the pitch
One of the two attacking players needs to run around a pole before they can support
their team-mate in defending.
Purpose
By forcing one defender to run around a pole it creates a 2 v 1 briefly for the attackers. They need to exploit the overload whilst also identifying where the recovering defender will come from
Conditions
1 attacker must run around the pole whilst one remains as the defender
