Defensive Principle 4-3-3

4-3-3.

Being compact and connected.

Limite the distance between our lines.

Move as a block

Pressure player dictate which side we are forcing our opponent to play to. (Right here).

See how we are using between a quarter and a third of the field.

See the distance between our Center Forward and our center backs.

Our lines move together, including the GK.

SPA is a chaotic and dangerous time for us defensively. We need to get back between the ball and our goal as fast as possible. Closer player to the BC delay their progress to allow us to get back and organized.

Our block travels as the ball travel.

Over back 4 balls would be dealt with by GK, all defenders cover the GK and protect the goal. Mids and Fs support the pressure.

Attacking Principle 4-3-3

4-3-3, with the ball.

Make the field big! Create the space, to then use the space.

Build up to bring numbers in the last 25 of the field.

Start in Zone #1, GK has the ball. Zone #2 would be between the 2 red lines, Zone #3 would be the last third of the field.

Center Forward would dictate our strong side along with HM who would be on the same Lane Blue here.

GK can play CBs, OBs, HM, whichever is the most open and safe to play. Avoid long balls which we can't controle. Strong side is then based on the BC (ball carrier) position.

See how our weak side OB is keeping the field big for us. All other players travel with the ball on the strong side.

HM sees everyone. In Zone #2, we play where we see, avoid turning with the ball. Player simple. Limit the touches.

Our goal is to bring/find players in zone #3, facing the goal.

Everyone is in motion.

We try to build a pattern Outside/Inside Meaning the ball travel from outside players to inside players. Moving the opponent block.

See how FWs switch position. Travel between the lines.
