Pair up players and make enough gates for everyone. If there is an odd number, pair a coach with one player or make a triangle for a group of three. Have them change partners at least once.
Players pass through the gate to their partner. Emphasize to the passers that they should push DOWN and THROUGH on the ball. This will help with accuracy and power. Emphasize to the receivers to trap the ball with their stick in front of them, left hand pushed out (see figure).
Challenge:
- most # of passes in 1 minute
- first team to 10 consecutive passes without the ball hitting a cone, foot, backstick
For U10s:
- after a couple rounds of push passes, we can also do a quick refresher on sweep hits and move into those

Set up your section of the field with a variety of these stations over the whole area (try to colour coordinate if you can, but it does not need to look exactly like the picture):
- red squares (2-3m wide), players pass across the box to their partner
- yellow tunnels (5m long), one partner dribbles through the tunnel, the other partner meets them in the middle to block tackle the ball away
- blue line (4-5 cones), one player dribbles through the cones to their partner at the other end, the partner dribbles it back through the cones
Players partner up (choose a new partner or the coach pairs them up). Pairs work together to get as many points as possible in 3 minute bouts. Pairs get a point every time they complete one of the stations, they should keep track of their own points.

To set up the field, we'll bring out mini goals, but we'll also likely need to build some cone goals. Split your team into 2, each coach take a mini team to follow and coach. We'll play a small tournament of 5 min games.
Each team will have two goals. Encourage your team to SPREAD OUT and FIND THE SPACE. If one goal has a lot of people, the other one will be open. Coaches, don't hesitate to stop the game, ask the players to spread out, and then resume. Defensively, no goalies and remind players about using their block tackle/flat stick tackle and not to swing at the ball.
