Warm-up I (10 mins)

Organization:

1. Distance from CB-CM: 12 yds/ Distance from CM-Winger: 15 yds

2. 10-12 players

Instructions:

1. CM checks away and checks to ball at an angle.

2. CB with Double pass with a CM.

3. Winger checks back and wide.

4. CB plays ball to Winger who takes 1st touch wide and passes ball to last player in line.

5. both side play simultaneously.

Rotation:

- CB to Back of line of CM.

- CM to Winger role.

- Winger to back of next line.

Coaching Points:

1.Movement off the ball.

a. Check away & to (disguise)

b. Body position: Sideways on from wide player.

2. Passing technique (Inside & Driven)

a. Place body behind ball.

b. Locate target ( head up)

c. Plant foot next to ball (Balance)

d. Make contact on Center of ball (inside) / Mid height- between middle and center of ball (driven)

e. Open door (Inside) / Laces foot at angle (driven)

f. Follow through low & straight (end momentum 2 steps past shot)

Warm-up II (10 mins)

4. CM Check to ball and combines with Wall pass with Winger, CM makes finla pass into space.

5. both side play simultaneously.

Rotation:

- CB to Back of line of CM.

- CM to Winger role.

- Winger to back of next line.

Main Theme - Semi opposed (15 mins)

Organization:

1. 4 players per grid.

2. Area as shown 15x18

Instructions:

1. Wide player passes the ball to CB

2. CB checks back to provide Depth. CM steps up in middle box to place light pressure

3 CB takes 1st touch and passes ball to opposite Wide player.

4. CB Places light pressure on CM. CM checks in the middle to provide support.

5. Wide player passes the ball to CM.

6. CM passes the ball to opposite wide player.

*** Switch passing rotation after 4 rounds

Technique

- Accuracy & Pace of pass

- Pass to the far foot to improve speed of play

Movement

- Create Depth (Behind the ball at an angle - Sideways on)

- Create Witdh ( Feet on line - Sideways on)

Decision

- Check over shoulder before receiving to create habit of Scanning the field.

Conditioned Game (20 mins)

Organization:

1. 5v5

2. Area as shown: 10 yds- safe zone / 30x 25 field

Instructions:

1. Teams play 5v5

2. Safe zone is for CB to provide depth in safe zone (no defender can go inside this zone)

3. Shots can be taken from anywhere in the field.

Coaching Points:

Technique

- Pass to the far foot to improve speed of play

Movement

- Create Depth (Behind the ball at an angle - Sideways on)

- Create Witdh ( Feet on line - Sideways on)

Decision

- Check over shoulder before receiving to create habit of Scanning the field. Where is pressure?

Progression:

- 1 Point for goal

- 3 points for goal by switching point of attack.
