In possession 

Blues playing through lines and half positions 

Coaching Points Blues

  • CMs give depth to pull opposition out. ( Ball must be moved quick to create gaps in midfield 3). 
  • At all times a number 9 must be playing in behind to occupy CBS 10 must work off 9s movement and drop into half positions to pick ball up. Body shape to receive to play forward. 
  • Angles of CMs and body shape to play into strikers feet or movements in behind. First time ? 
  • Braking Lines. If brake line attack quick with movement in box CM attack other CM pivot in relation of protection. 
  • Move into diamond to free up Deep lining midfielder. (Progress one of the Red CF tackle from behind).
  • Third man runs Hit CF 10 late run. 
  • Rotation between 10 9s outside wingers never pivot structure got to be kept.
  • Movement away from the ball Diagonal drop downs. for other CMs CFs  

REDS 

  • Pass ball in from my self to create a quick counter attacking football 2V1 
  • If reds win make pass to build up platform. ( this will give the principle of winning the ball quickly)  
  • PROGRESSION one of the blues can make recovery run.

  • Front three work half positions
  • Always work opposites if 9 drops in others work in behind. 
  • Find balls down the side of people (in relation to deep receive) one feet, one away.
  • Rotation between width and Inside winger (Triangles) 

REDS 

  • Go into point down to brake quick two can brake out with one sitting. 
  • Fast aggressive play 
  • Red CF make him understand how frustrating CF can be movements constantly with the ball. Hold it up bring people into play. ( Gaffer might bring you on to keep 1-0 lead. you have to stay concentrated you have to get foul, you have to get body in front. don't let them brake on us. That's the importance.
