Organization:

Activity
- Players dribble around the area.
- When the coach calls go, the players try to go through as many gates as they can
- After 30 seconds the coach calls stop and asks the players how many gates they got. Alwasy start with a low number to include all.
Progression
- Make the gates different colours and ask the players parents to count the players points.
Coaching Points:
-close dribbling in tight areas
-accelerate/rwb into open spaces
-get head up to scan for space, gates, players
-use of both feet and all surfaces of feet

Organization
- Set up two cone gates One either side of the goal
- In between the two gates add a group of defenders
- At a cone 10 yards in front of the gates opposite the defenders, add a line of attackers
Activity
- The attacking players attempt to to run through either of the two gates to earn a point
- The defending players attempt to tag the attacker to earn a point
- Players switch end after each go
Progression
- The attacking players have a ball at their feet and attempt to dribble through the gates without being tackled.
Coaches Emphasis
- Change of Direction
- Encouraging the players to use different speeds
- Keep the ball tight when dribbling
- Try and keep head up
- Simple fakes

Organization
- Players split between the 4 corners of the square
- Anything over 3 players at each cone then create a new square
- Use the Full 3v3 Field
- Coach and 3 parents in the centre
Activity
- The players dribble in to the centre where the coach or parent acts as the defender
- The coach makes the players aware that they dirbble in to the centre before turning in anyway they like and head back to the same corner
- The coach then works through 2-3 different turns. Inside hook, outside hook, drag back/pull turn
Coaches Emphasis
- Soft Tight touches on the way to the cone
- Technique in the turn, bend knees, which part of the foot are we using to turn
- Accelerate away

Organization
- 30 x 30 Area
- Attacking players in the middle with the ball each
- Defending players X 4
- One defender between each of the 4 sets of gates on the outside of the area
Activity
- The players in the middle dribble around the area and attempt to exit the space through one of the outside gate son any of the 4 sides of the box
- The defenders will stand between a set of two gate son the outside of the area. The defenders are attempting to tag the player with the ball but cannot step in to the gates
- If the defender can tag the attacker they lose all of their points
- Run the activity for two minutes and the player who has dribbled through the most gates wins
- All players rotate through being defender
Progression
- Put the attacking players in pairs with the same objective of running through the gates
- Add defenders to the central areas
Coaching Emphasis
- Play with head up to see open gates to accelerate through
- Combine with other players to overload the defender
- Keep the ball tight when dribbling
- Use changes of speed and direction

Organization
- 15 x 25 Field
- One defender starting with the ball next to the goal
- Recovery defender starting 10 yards from goal to the opposite side to the other defender
- Attacker starting directly opposite the goal at the other end of the field
Activity
- The defender starting with the ball plays out to the attackers feet
- As the ball is played out the second defender runs out to the red cone before recovering to assist the first defeder
- The attacker must get pas the blue side cone befotre they are able to shoot at the net
Progression
- Make the drill 2v2 and itroduce the ide of the rcovery dfender back pressing to make 3v2

- Recover to the goal
- Support first defender
- patience once recovered

Dribbling/Shielding
Organization:
All players have a ball each and are placed in a circle approx 15m in diameter.
Procedure:
Players dribble their ball ensuring that the ball is always moving. On coaches command all players keep their own under control while attempting to kick other players balls out of the circle. If a players ball is kicked from the circle, they can return after 10 toe taps.
NOTE: If children are too young to understand, have the parents play as well. This can help the children understand how to play the game as they will be immitating their parents movements.
Emphasis: Movement skills and dribbling
Additional Notes: Make sure to adapt to the level of play of the players at your field. Each child understand things differently
