Players pass backwards and forwards. On shout, both players sprint to opposite shaded area, where ball is waiting.

2) Pairs Movement & Combination Work - Targets always switch ball 2 touch l/r or r/l to allow timing of movement in middle. 30 second work and rotate pairs, high intensity, 5 variation sets (below)
(i) pass to high player, drop off underneath, hit target
(ii) pass to checking player on half turn, hit high player on half turn, hit target
(iii) pass to checking player on half turn, hit high player, drop back to underneath, hit target
(iv) pass to checking player who fakes for high player who is on line of pass, drop back, hit target
(v) pass to checking player, drop back to either target, hit high player, drop back to underneath player, hit target.

Organization:
1. 40 x 30 yard area set up as shown
2. 12 players set up as shown

Instructions:
1. Player 1 starts the activity dribbling forward with player 2 along side
2. Player 1 then passes to player 2 who has two touches to score
3. Both players then move to the opposite end and switch lines
4. Both groups start at the same time so there is a little bit of traffic in the middle area
5. Play for a set time and then switch sides to work opposite feet
Coaching Points:
1. Angle of approach – off center
2. Head up to observe the target
3. Head down at the point of contact
4. Contact ball – will vary depending on target area
5. Contact foot – laces (instep)
6. Body weight forward, chest and knee over the ball at contact
7. Follow through landing on striking foot
Progressions:
1. P – Player 2 now only has one touch to score
