Technical 20 mins. 1 worker, 2/3 servers. Worker receives with various techniques (receive/play with same foot, receive/play with alternating feet, receive with outside of foot). Practice techniques and race.
Coaching points:
- first touch should be a "little pass yourself". Out of your feet on a small angle
- prepare feet to receive. Don't be on heels, be bouncing on balls of feet. Be balanced with eyes tracking ball the entire time.
- initiate contact with ball. Don't let the ball "eat you up". Make small movement towards
- try to get ball touched about 1 step out of feet, to walk into the pass etc

3v1 keepaway. 20 mins. 45 seconds for each defender to try to cause as many turnovers as possible. A point to the defender for each turnover. Ball gets played back in by defender.
Coaching points:
- prepare feet to receive. Be on balls of feet and ready to play in any direction
- 1st touch away from pressure. Now 1st touch has to have thought behind it
- track the ball visually all the way on to your foot
- ball out of feet, eyes up
- scan the space. Have a plan before ball arrives

4 corner SSG w/neutral (if 9) 20 mins. Have to play cleanly from corner to corner to score a point. Corner players MUST exit corner on 1st touch
Coaching points:
- prepare feet to receive. Be on balls of feet ready to move in any direction
- 1st touch away from pressure. Adjust body shape to receive with back foot (open)
- scan the space to know where you want to go with first touch (have a plan)
- touch out of feet, eyes up, play
- 1st touch now might beat a player, buy more time/space or set up a pass/dribble
- stop it anytime 1st touch takes player back into high pressure
