(GK with Tony)
-Players in groups of 4
-set up as shown
-player 3 at top has 2 cones - blue = right, yellow = left
- Part 1: ball starts with player 1 who is moving ball between feet
-when player 2 is ready, they approach one point of their triangle and ask for the ball
-as ball travels, player 2 must check shoulder to see which colour cone is being held up by player 3
-this tells them which direction to open up their touch
-on player 2's touch, player 3 moves to cone in the corresponding direction they showed to receive the pass (leave coloured cones)
-Part 2: players 2 and 3 proceed to play a give and go/overlap to reset the ball back to the beginning
-Player 1 becomes player in triangle, player 2 becomes player at top with cones, player 3 makes way to back of line, player 4 restarts the next play
Keys: open body shape; checking shoulder; communication; accuracy
Coaching points: must be adamant about checking shoulder; demand sharp accurate passes

SSG 9v9
-LOTG apply
-most restarts from keepers; force players to use a "retreat line" to encourage proper playing out of the back
-show keepers other options - do we always have to go short? Practice the series of events if we want to go long (tell players to squeeze, wait for them to be ready).

Possession Game (20 mins)
2 setups, ~20x30, 5v3 +1
-ball always starts with keeper in set-up shown
-1st player receives ball in own "endzone" (try to utilize fullbacks and wingers for this role)
-opponents must start behind "retreat line"
-after keeper plays ball in, they become a neutral "bumper" player to help either team
-team objectives: to get into opponents endzone while in possession with pass or dribble
-no bumper on wing - active players should be the ones utilizing the wing
Keys: first player on ball must check shoulder, scanning to see options from ALL players
Coaching points: must reinforce checking shoulder and scanning field; encourage players to open up and use wing even if not their strong foot; look at idea of playing in to play out (can we go central then wide?); look at how we can draw players in thene exploit space in behind
