POSSESSION 4V4+4 NEUTRALS
Two teams of four players play 4v4 possession in a area. Teams can use outside neutrals (2 touch maximum) for support to keep possession
10 consecutive passes= 1 point
Variation:
Neutrals have 1 touch
Inside players have 2 touch maximum
Add a inside neutral player

SMALL SIDED GAME: POSSESSION 4V4 +2 BARCA
4v4 with 2 neutrals.
This possession practice creates realistic game movement. Receiving from neutrals can replicate movement in midfield to receive from defenders or from center forwards
Passing to neutrals can replicate playing into center forwards or backwards to defenders to create space.
4 players work with two neutrals in order to maintain possession. Team chasing possession may only send one player into the joker zone to press. The coach will pass a ball back into play when the ball leaves the playing area. Touches on the ball are unlimited

POSSESSION 4V4+4
Three teams of four players play possession (8v4) in a area. One team is "IN" which means a team of four is playing against the other two teams. When the team of four win the ball, the team that gave the ball away are now "IN" on defense against the other two teams.
10 passes against a color means a point against. Play for time. The team with the most points against loses

6 v. 3 with constant change-over in a 30x 25 yard area
Play 3 teams of 3 in different colors. 2colors combine and play against the 3rd colors
When the defending team wins the ball,the team that turned the ball over becomes the defending team it is always 2colors v 1 colors play with limited touches
Coaching Points
· Maintain proper shape with thepossession team (width and depth)
· Make the playing area as big aspossible
· Make the defending team defend theentire area
· Defending team should maintaincompactness and play pressure, support and cover
· On winning the ball, quickly transitioninto possession with new group

6 v. 3 + 1 in a 20x15 or 25 x 20 yard area playing two touch
In a larger area with more players and more options of play and more pressure. The outside players are in their playing positions. The wRmd and wRd are positioned on one line and the left sided players on the opposite line. The target attacker and central defender along with the midfielder in the center from the possession group.
If the middle 3 defenders win the ball ,they play 3 v. 1 with limited touches
