Session Two, Week One of Intramural Training Program

Organization
20 x 30 yard area. Coned off 'channel' in the middle. Players on side with a ball must dribble across the area, whre the players without a ball try to kick their ball out, if their ball is kicked out, they join the 'Bulldogs', winner is the last player with a ball, repeat, change 'Bulldogs'.
Coaching Points
1. Stay in the area
2. Head up, look around, between touches
3. Look for gaps in between Bulldogs, then take a bigger touch to get through
4. Change direction/speed/use a fake
5. DO NOT allow players to kick and chase

Organization
20 x 30 yard (4 v 4) or 30 x 40 yard (6 v 6). 2 teams. Introduction of teams. Score by dribbling ball, under control, into ANY Corner area and stop the ball. If the ball goes out, dribble or kick in.
Progressions
Teams can only score in 2 Corners each (Gives direction)
Players can only move the ball forward by passing

Organization
20 x 25 yard area. All players in area with a ball each, players split into to 2 teams. Teams compete against each other to kick their ball onto an opponents ball and know it out. If either players ball goes out, they have to do 5 feet juggles to get back in. Play for one minute, the team that has the most players in when you say freeze, wins.
Coaching Points
Awareness of area and traffic.
Start slow/keep ball close
Try to get close before attempting to get players out.
