Set Up
Split the players into groups of 3 and have each player stand next to a cone so that they are inline with each other. Space the cones 7 or 8 yards apart. Each outside player needs a ball.
Instructions
To start with one of the outside players passes the ball into the middle player. They control it and then pass it back. They then turn and receive a pass from the player behind them.
Progression 1- Only use 1 ball. The outside player with the ball passes to the player in the middle. They control it and turn and then pass to the other outside players. And repeat.
Progression 2- Only use 1 ball. The outside player with the ball passes to the middle player. They control the ball on the half turn and pass to the other outside player. And repeat.
Progression 3- Only use 1 ball. The outside player with the ball starts and passes to the middle player. They control the ball or play a first time pass back to that outside player. The outside player then passes long to the other outside player.
Coaching Points
Pass the ball with the inside of the foot.
Control the ball with the inside of the foot.
The none kicking foot should point in the direction that you want to pass the ball.
Follow through after making contact with the ball.

Set up
Make a 12x12 square and divide the players so that there are equal amounts on each corner. Only use 1 ball but have plenty of spaires.
Instructions
The player with the ball passes the ball to the player on their right and follows their pass. The receiving player should open up their body and control the ball on the back foot and in the direction that they want to play in. This will allow them to see where the ball has came from and where they are going. Continue passing and moving around the square. (black arrows)
Progression 1- Go in the opposite direction. This will make them have to control the ball on the opposite foot. You can also challenge them to pass with their weaker foot if you wish. (black arrows)
Progression 2- The starting player passes the ball down the width of the square and follows their pass. The reciving player control the ball and passes it diagonally across the square and follows their pass. Then continue in the pattern of down, across, down, across. (red arrows)
Progression 3- Same as above but go in the opposite direction. (red arrows)
Coaching Points
Pass the ball with the inside of the foot.
Control the ball with the inside of the foot.
Open your body up so that you cantrol the ball in the direction that you want to play.
Watch the ball all the way onto your foot.

Set Up
Make a 20x20 area. Have 4 players in the middle, 2 on each team. All of the other players are neutrals on the outside. Use 1 ball but have plenty of extra ones incase they go out.
Instructions
The coach passes the ball in to the player that is in the best space. Then the team will play 2v2 keep away, they can use the outside players when ever they like to create overloads. Play 2 minute games. The team that creates the longest combination will win the game. Rotate all of the player in multiple time.
Progression 1- Play 3v3 in the middle.
Coaching Points

Play the way you are facing.
Move to new space where you can receive a pass after passing the ball or becoming marked by a defender.

Set Up
Using half a field use 1 age appropriate goal and 2 smaller goals. Split your players into a 9v5, the 9 should be set up like they would be in a game.
Instructions
Set your players in their game formation, with players in the positions that they would start in. The keeper plays the ball out from the back to a defender. The team of 9 then have play their way forward with the aim of scoring in the 2 small goals. If the defending team of 5 win the ball then they try to score in the regular goal.
Switch your play positions. Switch the defending team.
Progression 1- How quickly can we score.
Progression 2- Everyone has to touch the ball before you can score.

Put 4 players on the outside of each square with a ball and 1 player in the middle. The players on the outside pass the ball around, trying to keep it away from the player in the middle. If the middle player gets the ball they swap places with the player that last touched or passed the ball.

Control the ball with the inside of the foot and in the direction that you want to play.
