Lesson 1 - Basics skills
1- Move with the ball anyway you want. Go and inquire into different movements. What parts of the body can you use? What parts of the foot? Can you use your knee/head/shoulder/hands?
2 - Dribble with the left foot, right foot, both, outside of the foot, inside. Which feels best?
3 - Change direction. How can you change direction. Are there different ways? What part of the foot? What do you need to consider first before turning?
4 - Should you keep your head up or down when dribbling? why? (put a cone on their heads and balance as they dribble - trying to keep their heads up at all times).
5 - Introduce Happy Feet - pass the ball back and forth between your feet ten times. Toe Taps - ten taps on top of the ball. Dribble around the cone. 5 keep ups. Different rules for different numbers.
Finish with king/queen of the ring. Keep your ball while trying to kick your opponents out of the square.
