7:50 - 8:15pm Positioning Play - High Press
Front 6 (yellow) vs Opponent back 7 (orange)
'Press' (4-4-2 10 pushes up) and 'Don't Press' (4-3-3 10 drops back)
Targets : Orange = mini goals + Striker (Bella in circle only)
Yellow = main goal
Start : GK to either 3 or 4 always
Points :
1. 'Press' : High Press (4 at front)
Close quickly, stack side ball is played
- 10 press 3; 9 press 4; 8 press 6; 6 slide to mid on that side 8; 7 drop to take their 10 (2 jobs, take 10, watch 5)
- player we leave free is far side fullback (5 in this example)
2. 'Don't Press' : Drop to Block defence (3 at front)
- 10 drops back into midfield, 9 blocks 3-6 and 4-6 passing lanes, don't press 3 or 4
- 7/11 on opposite side drop into mid line of 4
- if 6 dominant, 8 or 10 (whoever closest) pressure 6

8:15 - 8:35pm Game Training 11 v 11 (3/4 pitch)
Play starts from Renee (orange GK).
Get yellow 3 & 4 to play short balls to 6, or 2/5 (no long balls initially). If tight, then options like 8/10 (not long ball to front).
when ball is out, start again from Renee.
1. Do option 'Press' (4 at front; 9/10 on 3/4).
2. Do option 'No Press' (3 at front; 9 blocks channel 3/6 & 4/6).
Focus on :
- speed to close down opponent (especially opponent 6) - ask Ange to sometimes drop, sometimes stay
- selecting correct opponent to close
- forget far fullback
- cue for 'press' or 'no press'
