Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Midfield diamond v midfield 3 (Start Time: 2022-03-30 19:30:00)

Function

Conditions Midfield diamond v midfield 3 objective of the function is to be comfortable in possesion and try and be positive in playing forward ,but help the man on the ball by creating space and time on the ball  for this to happen movement off the ball is key to the sucsess of this  

Set up  18x18 square with neutral players on the outside who would represent 2 wide players a number 9 and a center half balls can be played to the neutral players who have 2 touches to play back to the team in possesion

Diamond in possesion can we get every player in the diamond to touch the ball before we play into the neutral player who represents the number 9 who will set the ball back to score in the mini goals which would represent playing to or  into a space for a number 10

Diamond out of possesion can we narrow up and cut out the angles for the 3 to play through can the deepest player screen the pass off to the neutral player who would represent their number 9

Conditions for the 3 to create issues for the diamond , can the 3 press to close down the player on the ball  this should  allow for coaching the movement off the ball so the player in possession has options to use the diamond

In the 9v9 i will ask the oposition team if they can create a low block coach around player rotation in to try and manipulate the space between the lines

Starting possitions width of 18 yard box in possesion, out of possesion width of the circle this should give players off the ball space in front of them 

Triggers the players first touch  identify the space move into the space where you are in line with the player to pass

9v9 Wide defending players removed from both sides 3/4 pitch formation 11v11 opposition 5-3-2 v 4-4 -2 with a midfield diamond 9v9 3-3-2 v 2-4-2 with a diamond midfield  Ball played out from the keeper try and encourage movement of the diamond to collect from keeper or defender with the ball try and encourage patient build up against a team in a low block 

Coach a rotation to manipulate the defending team to try and create space bewteen the lines
