Organization:

20 x 20 yard area set up a shown

12 players (4 groups of 3) set up as shown

Instructions:

Players one at the time dribble to the center cone and must do an outside, inside turn, and pull back, after practicing each of those turn, team compete against each other, each players going 3 times.

Coaching Points:

Slow down before turn.

Turn with least touch on the ball.

Longer touch after the turn so you can accelerate faster.

Lower body to create lauching platform after turn.

Progressions:

Will be adding the competition in between each turn repetition.

semi opposed directional (20 mins)

Organization:

30x20 area with a 5 yard strip in the middle

6 balls

2 goals

2 team of 6 players

Instructions:

Players have to reach one of the end line to score but have to complete at least one turn in the 5yard zone.

Coaching Points:

Turn away from the defender( defender, body , ball)

Fake the turn and accelerate to get some separation.

Close the door on dfender running behind you.

Progressions:

Add multiple turn or specific turns.

conditioned game

Organization:

Same 40 x40 yard are

2 team of 6 players

4 portable goals

1 ball ( extra around)

Instructions:

White team is playing North /South

Blue team is playing East/West.

If the ball get out of bound re-start with a pass.

After a goal, re-start with a pass.

Coaching Points:

Win the ball quickly and turn the ball to attack the correct goal.

Dribble with foot further away from defender for easy turn on the unpressured side.

Accelerate after change of direction.

Progressions:

Team cannot score twice on the same goal, have to alternate.
