The reds starting in the half spaces are looking to score in the small counter goal but must cross the middle line marked with yellow cones before scoring while the blues are looking win back possession and look to score by dribbling or passing the ball through the flags.
Once the second phase is over, the next three blue attackers restarts the exercise to go 3v2 against the reds, while the reds alternate between the 2v3 and 1v1 to experience both defending and attacking scenarios. Team switches roles on coach's call.

Organization:
Set up the playing area as shown.
Instructions:
Players are divided into three teams i.e. blues, reds and whites. Blues and reds play 2v2 in each half of the pitch with the whites playing as neutrals in the central zone. Whites are semi-restricted to play in the central zone, however one white player is allowed to join in an attack to create a 3v2 attacking overload, they will always look to play with the team in possession. Whenever a white player passes into the attacking team from the central zone, that white player automatically joins the attacking team that is looking to finish on goal.Whites can only play on one touch in the central zone and can also finish on goal with a first time finish from the central zone. When the goalkeepers are in possession, they can look to distribute into both halves of the pitch or they can also play into the whites in the central zone.
Coaching Points:
- Quick combination play to finish on goal.
- Quick improvisation to get past defender(s).
- Quick transitions (attacking & defending transitions).
- Quality finish.
Progression:
- 7v7 practice match with no restrictions / conditions.
