Game Day Dynamic Warm up - 25minutes
Dynamic stretching is movement stretching and can be specifically designed to mimic soccer movements. At Total Soccer Fitness & Training, we believe in dynamic stretching over static stretching as part of the warm up but will include some static stretching upon the completion of a practice session or match. Following is a “Dynamic Movement & Stretch Routine” which can be performed prior to a session or match. The Dynamic Movements at the beginning of the routine serve as a “warm up” to the stretching routine.
The length of each movement or stretch should be between 10-18 yards unless otherwise noted
Jog / Skip low knee / Skip high knee / Side volley / Open Groin / Close Groin / Straight Leg Kicks / Side Kicks - Straight Leg / Back kick - straight leg / Dynamic Quad stretch / groin stretch / calf stretch.
Quick feet (left/right) and sprint around side poles (3-5 times)
10minutes Possession 5v5 (starting players) Subs on outside as supporting (3 touch inside / 2 touch - 1 touch outside)
Variations: Using Subs as servers at 3rd markers, starting 10 players can work on passing, volleys, headers.
