Screen 1 (5 mins)

DESCRIPTION:

  • Players divide into two sides and line up next to the cones 
  • First coordination move is lateral in & out 
  • Players do the coordination move between 3 cones
  • After coach say 'Go‘ players need approach the three poles with quick short steps
  • Once at the pole, players stay in place and maintain the rhythm of quick short steps than prepare to the coach signal of the final sprint
  • Coach say 'Go', players cross poles an sprint 10 meters away 
  • Players: 8     Time: 5 mins    Space: three cones about 1 yard apart to create a gate, about 5 yard to place three poles in front of cones, three poles about 2 yard apart to create a gate, final sprinting distance is 10 yard.  Equipment: cones, poles and ice cream cones

AIMS:

  • Enhancing the muscle temperature to let players get ready for the upcoming training drills
  • Fast and coordinated footwork can improve players performance such as turning, dribbling and moving sharper on the pitch
  • Final short sprinting can enhance the speed of players sprinting during the game

BEHAVIOURS:

  • Head up when doing the lateral in & out
  • Keep sharp and quick with your feet

Screen 2 (5 mins)

DESCRIPTION:

  • Second coordination move is forward icky shuffle & backward icky shuffle  
  • Players do the coordination move between 3 cones
  • After coach say 'Go‘ players need approach the three poles with quick short steps
  • Coach will says 'left' or 'right' , after players place the ice cream cones on the left or right poles than they sprint as fast as poosible
  • Time:  5 mins 

AIMS:

  • Train the player' s reaction speed and hand coordination after listening to instructions

BEHAVIOURS:

  • Players can use the closest hand to place the ice cream cone on the designated side of the pole

CONDITIONS:

  • If 'left' , players can only use their left hand to put the ice cream cone

DISTRIBUTION:

  • Start from the players
