4+N vs 2 possession game with purpose (20 mins)
Organization:20x30 field, 3 teams, 1 soccer ball, 4 blue cones, 2 red cones
Instructions:
4v2+N game, red team should try to switch field by completing 2+ passes then pass through blue cones=1 point, through the red cone = 3 points. 2 pressing defenders, if switch occurs other 2 defenders enter (visa versa starting points).
Yellow get a point every time they win ball and play over.
Switch roles (defending team) after 5 mins
N= Neutral endline support (GKs, CBs etc..)
Coaching Points:
- quality of pass
- body position in receiving
- Movement, checking off pressure (separation)
- communication
- head up (before and after 1st touch)
- reading the game
- decisions making
- Adjust shape as ball moves
Progressions:
- no more then 2 touches
- switch side after 4+ passes
- If defenders win and play across team who lost possession transition to defenders (free flow)

Possession vs penetration (20 mins)
Organization:40x30, 25', 3 zones, 2 small goals/1 big GK
4v1 vs 3 + 4
Instructions:
Blue team should pass the ball to the red team after 3-5 passes, yellow team try to intercept the ball and score goal into small goals
Yellow can enter when the 1 yellow wins ball to attack goal, red counter press and win it back and play across - yellow stays as defenders. Yellow score or goes out of bounds, red would become defending group.
GKs are supporting possession in half and GK when defense win ball
Coaching Points:
- Opening passing lanes
- Checking to and away from ball
- Timing of support, communication and pass
- Weight of pass, angle and timing
- Possession vs penetration (decision making on ball)
- Vision to see windows to exploit/link play
Progressions: NO Gks add as neutral only in each zone

Large Rondo (15 mins)
Organization:
Instructions:
- Keep away from 4 defenders.
- Defenders can score as soon as the get the ball.
- The bigger number team could only score if the get 6+ passes.
- Switch 4 defenders once 3 goals are scored or 3-4min
Coaching Points:
- 1st touch direction
- communication
- counter press
- 3rd man runs and usage
- No turning on the ball
- Speed of play
- Utilize and make shape big (red)
- Blues (work in pressure-cover and take space away) 1-3 defenders with balance
Progressions:
Increase amount of passes for Red team before shot
Add passes 2+ for defending team before shot

8v6 game (20 mins)
Organization:
Minimum 30x30- 2 small goals -1 big goal, 2 teams, 1 soccer ball
Instructions:
8v6 game, blue team play out from the GK =4+ passes & score in small goals, red team look to recover the ball and score.
Coach dictates different entries points and tempo of play with balls played in.
Coaching Points
- Patience and composure in possession
- Utilizing 3rd man passing decisions
- Support on the ball (high/low/wide)
- Speed of play
- 1st touch direction
- Counter press upon losing ball
- Team shape and evolving shape
