Learning Objectives:To improve catching the high ball
Technical: Improve High ball catch

As before but this time the Att can now jump to compete with Gk.
Tp:
.Adopt a good starting position
.Take up a sideways stance
.Asses the flight/pace of the ball
.Take off on one foot
.Catch the ball on the way up.
.Take the nall athe highest point.
. Bring the ball into the chest
Adaptions:
Gk is challanged by the throw going over there head to improve feet moving backwards

Server serves the ball in the air for the GK to take as a high cross

Organisation:
Gk takes a starting position in the centre of the goal. S1 and S2 take it in turns to cross the ball into the box for the Gk to catch.
Tp:
.Adopt a good starting position
.Take up a sideways stance
.Asses the flight/pace of the ball
.Decide whether to come or stay
.Instruct defender where to stand
.Communicate "keepers" or "away"
.If staying get back on the line and into line if possiable
Progression:
Add a defender to the session S1 and S2 will cross the ball into the box as before this time the GK must either catch or shout "away" for the defender to head or strike away.
