MID FIELDERS
Primary responsiblity...Be a play maker
Secondary responsiblity...Support the defensive backs in our defesnive third
Thrid responsibity...Be able to control the middle of the field
8/10 work together. They both attack, they both defend and they both are playmakers. They should never be across from each other. They must always be in an off-set position.
Middies as players must be skilled with the ball, be able to control any ball that comes at them, see the entire field and be able to dominate the middle of the field. Middies are good at handling the unknown. They like being and working within a very tight space. The play 360 degress and don't panic when pressured. Middies are very confident with the ball at all times.

WINGERS:
Primary responsibilty...Create width for the team.
Secondary responsibilty...Be an outlet for the team
Third responsibilty...Be apart of the attack OR start the attack
11/7 have to be able to see the game, know when to get wide and when to pinch in. They must always be in a position to recieve the ball in space. As a player they must be fast, be able to dribble at speed, be able to cross with pace AND finish on goal.
Wingers as players like open spaces. They like to takle players on at speed. The have great endurance and are able to change direction based on a defender quickly. Good wingers also have a strong leg in which to strike or score from distance.

STRIKER:
Primary resonsibily...SCORE GOALS (however the best strikers scroe goals themselves or set-up their teammates)
Secondary responsiblity... Make thir defensive back miserable
Third responsibilty...Know when to attack 1v1 or use support
The Striker as a player needs to be fast, ultra aggressive, be able to create/capitalize on chaos. Most importantly, then they are on the field they are expected to get the ball in the back of the net either as a SOG or assist.
Strikers as players are a very unique breed (similar to keepers). First they need to be ultra agressive and fast. They need to have an abnormally high level of self confidence. At all times they must truely believe they will score and if they don't they forget about the last shot and truely beieve they will score the next one. They are the type of player that make something out of nothing.

Defensive backs
Defensive backs:
Primary responsiblity... Stop the attack with PRESSURE/COVER/BALANCE
Secondary responsibilty...Support when team is in possession.
5 CENTER BACK: In control of the defense. Must be able to win 80% of 50/50 balls. Must be able to stop their best attacker. Never gives up and makes very little mistakes.
3/2 OUTSIDE BACKS: On ball side must keep ball/player to outside. CAN NOT get beat towards goal. Opposite side must be the balance. Balance must stop any cross or centered ball.
On the attack all 3 positions can make attacking runs that include overlaps and 1-2. All 3 postions must be able to strike a long ball to clear under pressure or back into the attacking zone. Finally all 3 backs must be able to play out of pressure without panicing.
Backs as players must be fast, must be mean, must be aggressive and must be able to stop the other teams best attack. No backing down in this position. Backs are structured players and like to know where everyone is at all times. Backs play 180 degrees which means everyhting is in front of them and they can see it.
