4v2 rondo - if numbers uneven add extra player inside as an attacker. Normal rules - if defenders win the ball they transition to dribble outside of the square quickly. Change 2 defenders every 40 seconds. 2 rounds each as defenders.
Coaching Points:
options on the ball
movement - find a gap to receive
speed of play
touches - limited to move ball quicker.

1-4-2-1 V 2-3 formations
Back 4 plus 2 CM's (no6/8) look to keep controlled possession and eventually release a full back into opposition half. Once ball is in opposition half, free play attack to score in goal unopposed - link up with number 9 where possible - Full back no 8& 9 attack quickly to score.
Transition to Defend - no 6 sits in front of 2 centre backs + opposite side full back tucks in behind the ball in.
Coaching Points:
Calm on the ball - don't panic, keep head up and scan before receiving to see who the free man is.
Passing Accuracy - do we play to feet or into space?
Can defenders commit the opposition players to press & take them out of the game?
Can Midfielders scan/get on half turn to get us playing forward?
Can no 6 & 8 rotate to break a line from opposition press?
Find wide areas when we can - that's where most space is.

Unopposed build up -phase 2. 1-4-3-3, spare players rotate after every set
No 6 - always available to link play - how can we lose man/create space to get on the ball.
No 6&8 have licence to rotate - don't be easy to make - give opposition something to think about/ drop into created space.
No 10 play in half spaces - don't always drop in - can we stay high between opposition midfielders and defenders?
No 9 - half pockets to build off - hold ball up pin & spin the CB - willing runner in channels too.
Wide players - can we attack inside to allow space for full backs to overlap?
Numbers in box - no 9,10,8 and opposite winger.

Variation 1
Player receiving at mannequin should check off other player (small contact) to receive and play out the the opposite side. (eg fullback - number 6 - centre back - into full back)
Coaching Points:
ball speed - ball needs to be fizzed into player centrally to break a line
Timing of the movement to receive inside - not to early
Inside players touch - needs to go in direction of the next pass - can we get it through the gap between mannequins into space & then play out?
Variation 2.
same pattern, full backs time run to receive ball into space from inside man and play forward in one touch if possible.
Middle man - can we touch inside into space and play out or can we touch in front of mannequin and come around it before playing out?
