Key Factors
Organisation
Progression / Regression
Progress by making the area smaller, this will take the space advantage away from the attack
Regress by making the area larger to allow for more space creation
Competition
Different scoring can take place, points for most passes completed or longest keeping the ball etc
Intervention
Make sure to concentrate on the players keeping their technique when put under pressure from the defence
Make sure that players are moving into space after the pass is complete and are not becoming lazy.

Organisation
Key Factors
Two teams in the middle play against each other, one attacks and the other defends. This time though the attackers can use the players on the outside of the square and in the corners as an extra pass when required.
The defending team will swap with the team on the outside when they either win the ball or a certain amount of time is achieved by the attackers. The attackers will then become the defence.
Progression/Regression
The area can be made bigger or smaller depending on the outcome of the drill
The competition aspect can change and use different scoring.... amount of successful passes or times etc
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Progression / Challenges
The drill progresses by adding goalkeepers and can be made harder by upping the amount of passes we need to complete before scoring. By the end of the session we should be into a full game with no passing regulation just emphasizing on our passing and moving. Each goal the losing team being replaced.Learning Outcome

Drill 1
Organisation
Area size can be adapted depending on how many players and how the players adapt
Players are bibbed up on arrival
Spare Footballs are located around the practice
Progression / Regression
The drill will start with a 4 vs 2 situation. The team with more players will need to keep the ball away from the defenders. This can be made into a competition scenario where the attackers need to get to a certain amount of passes to get a point.
Once the defenders win the ball they then become the attackers and their two players on the outside join in and two of the other team drop out.
This will progress where we will add another defender to make it 4 vs 3 then can go to 4 vs 4.
The session can be made harder if required by making the area smaller or can be made easier by making it larger.
Mechanics of Technique
1. Non kicking foot to side of ball
2. Angle of approach
3. Head up to see target
4. Make eye contact
5. Part of the ball you make contact with and follow through
6. Movement into space after the pass
7. Looking where my team mates are
