Organisation: Field area covers from 18 yard to half way, split in half. 8 v 8 drill.
Explanation: Encouraging organised press to stop the switch across field. Allowance of 2 defender and 3 possession players in each quarter to start with. Coach feeds ball to red team from the 6 yard, the drill starts and the team is looking to cross to their opposite quarter. When possession is turned over blue team plays to their half.
Script:
Progressions: Each cross becomes 1 point to the successful team, to create competition. 2nd progression can be to remove quarters and play halves, 4v4 and 4v4.
