Set Up
25x25 square
Each player has a ball
Instructions
Players dribble around the area
Coach can call out:
- partner shuffle
- skaters
- squat jumps
- shoulder bump
- one-legged hops
- colour of cone for players to dribble around that colour
To end on a fun note:
- half the players roll their ball away & hold a high plank
- dribblers have 1min to roll the ball under as many plankers as possible
or
- tiger tails tag (with or without a ball)

Set Up
- 4 cones in a line (out-mid = 15yds apart / mid-mid = 5yds apart)
- 1 player per cone
- 1 ball per 2 players
Instructions
Progression 1
- partners pass back & forth (2 touch)
Progression 2
- mid player receives on half turn
- pass to far outside player
- follow pass to support ball and receive on half turn again
Progression 3
- 1 ball per 4 players
- 1 mid player shows to receive on half turn / other stays high
- turn + pass to other mid player
- pass to far outside player + follow pass to support ball and receive on half turn again
Progression 4
- same setup as P3
- mid player receives + plays a 1-2 with other mid player + passes to far outside player
- other mid player then shows to receive on half turn
Coaching Points
Passing
- inside of foot
- toe up / strong ankle
- pass it hard
Receiving
- show to a side
- inside of foot
- receive on back foot
- relaxed touch

Set Up
- 4 teams of 4
- 1 neutral team = 2 players in each wide area (marked by tall pylons)
Instructions
- score a goal = 1pt
- pass to outside player + open up + pass to other outside player + pass back in = 1pt
Progression
- same as above, but now second outside player can dribble in to create an overload
- once the play is over, player must return to wide area

- pass it hard
Receiving
- show to a side (body shape)

- receive on back foot

- offside/retreat line at 3rds
Instructions
- play a regular game
- must retreat from att 3rd when opposition has a goal kick or free kick in their 3rd, or when keeper handles the ball

2 fields of:
- 15x25 area
- 2 mini nets
- 1 ball
Instructions
- as players arrive and are ready to begin, they will play small-sided games
- first 2 players begin a 1v1 game
- third player ready joins to make it a 2v1
- then 2v2, 3v2, 3v3
- once the 7th players joins, the game must split into one 2v2 and one 2v1
- the pattern continues until all players are ready, and coaches can begin the session
