Set up a triangle of cones as a guide. Player 1 will make a forehand pass (emphasize accuracy!) to the the middle of the cones. Player 2 will receive on their backhand, pull the the ball across their body to forehand and make a pass back to player 1 who will receive on their backhand.
Receiving:
- uses cones as guides - stick outside the yellow cone (in front of your body), feet behind the red cones.
- let the ball come across your body as you receive the ball
- remind players about not changing grip (left always at the top, right at the bottom)

Sweep Hits
key points for sweeps: hands together at the top of the stick, stick and hands low to the ground, step and stick length away from the ball on a 45 degree angle
progression:
1. Set up gates to sweep through to work on accuracy. Can make it a competition and see how many times they can sweep through the gates.
2. in partners, set up a long rectangle. both players start on the same side of the cones. player red passes to player blue on the outside of the cone. After player red passes, they run to opposite cone. player blue dribbles (or pulls/side shuffles) to outside of other cone and passes back to player red. player red repeats.

Passing through Gates
Make it a competition: how many goals can you and your partner get? Which pair can get through all the goals first?
Reminder, a lot of pairs are sharing the gates! Encourage running to the open areas and keeping their head up.
Make it a game: Make 2 teams. Teams will try and score goals by running or passing through the gates in the corners. Teams may not score in the same goal twice. Can also allow bonus goals for 'x' number of completed passes within a team.
