Title: Set & Finish (15 minutes )
Aim: Put players in a setting where they are getting reps finishing in front of goal where successfully setting the ball and finish into the corner is the behavior for success.
Organization / Activity: Players play forward pass into the 9, she checks & sets the ball using the inside of her foot with the appropriate weight to allow the player to move forward and finish into either corner. Activity repeats itself in opposite direction.
Notes: Top three scorers will get a PK before moving to next activity. 06's must improve here.
Coaching Script / Plan for failure:
Players will fail to set the ball by choosing the wrong surface area. Demo what using your inside of the foot looks like, having your arm up to prepare for contact to successful take the weight off the pass.
Players will fail to land on their striking foot when attempting to finish. Discuss why (hitting the target, keeping attempt low, having all your weight forward) this is important. Accuracy over power.
Players will fall to use composure & deception when finishing. Demo closing your hips, using your eyes & shooting across goal.

Title: 7/11 training - pattern to goal
Aim: Put players in our attacking shape where their role is clearly defined. Specifically working with the 8's outside the diamond knowing their options when their the free player vs having pressure on them.
Organization / Activity: Players work through pattern. Must be done at game pace. 8's must scan and recognize when they're the free player versus when they have pressure discuss options with those individuals.
11: Positive touch towards goal, play first 9 in behind, play 1-2 with first 9, play second 9 through after first 9 has created space.
7: Run inside, touch away from player (demo), play nearest nine, reverse pass to overlapping full back, play second 9, set back to the six.
Progression: Add full back 'C' for 6 to sprint to get ball underneath the play.

Title: Play 8v6 (20 minutes)
Activity / Organization: Play 7v6. Attack vs defense. Add full backs both sides as progression after attacking team has had success.

Warm Up & Technical Relay
Title: Warm Up & Technical Relay (15 minutes )
Aim: Put players in a fun cognitive setting that gets them competing.
Activity / Organization: Players are in teams, dribble through cones there and back, players must dribble to the back of the line and then pass through the legs of entire team, once ball is at front of the group next player repeats pattern. Each player goes twice. Must be done at speed!
Progressions / Rules: Round 1 - Any foot / surface. Round 2 - perform skill before every cones. Round 3 - weakfoot. Round Four - must perform pass with the soul of foot.
