WU- Blocking (10 mins)

Explanation

12x12 grid

Goalkeeper jog in the square without the ball going through a variety of dynamic movements for the first 2-4 minutes

-jog, Heels up, knees up, open/close gates, leg swings, etc etc

After initial warm up period GK continue to move around the square with various dynamic movements but on coaches call go up to any ball and 5 point block

-Ensure leading with left and right legs.

Isolated- Blocking Tech (5 mins)

Explanation

Gk starts in a kneeling position. Server throws ball to GK for W. GK throws back and moves down the line to make a static  block shape. GK recovers to repeat to opposite side.

Isolated- Blocking 1v1 (20 mins)

Explanation

Coach rolls ball to either goalkeeper. Attacking player dribbles at opposite goalkeeper. Once they enter the neutral zone attacking player looks to knock over orange cone with a side foot finish. Maximum 3 touches to get to neutral zone.

If the goalkeeper makes the save and retains possession they can attempt to immediately dribble the opposite way and score. Ball is live until until out of playing area.

Engage attacking player in low set position

Move when ball is out of attackers feet or in a position where they cannot shoot
