Organisation:
2 lines suited to numbers
one line of cones, one has a line of hurdles
1 server per group
Gk performs different movement patterns over cones and hurdles and then receives high ball catch from server, catch and return to server then jog back to back of line
Progressions:
1 leg/ 2 leg hops over hurdles
2 leg jump and squat of hurdles
quick feet over cones
side to side through cones
sideways over cones
Final progression both lines join together behind cones, jog forward together and challenge for high ball from coach. (try and match heights/ abilitys if possible)
Key Points:
1. The Goalkeeper must use alternate legs to drive into the catch.
2. Catching the ball at it's highest point.
3. Moving forward and attacking the ball with aggression
4. Accurate timing of the jump.
