Organization: Groups of 2, 1 ball. 2 cones about 1 yard apart per group. Players are only spaced about 5-6 yards apart.
Play 1: Receive with inside foot. B always receives to outside. A always receives to inside. Pass with opposite foot that you received with. Time for 1 minute. Optional - ask them to count how many passes they complete (to add competition and focus).
Play 2: Receive with outside foot. Pass with same foot you received with.
Play 3: Receive with sole of foot. Pass with opposite foot you received with.
Coaching Points: Touch-look-pass. Target correct foot. Toes up. Focus on technique first, not speed.

Objective: Teach players to take a positive first touch and then return to ready to receive position.
Setup: 1 disc + 2-cone gate. Start at 10 yards. Size as needed.
Play: 1 passes 2 with inside foot. 2 receives with inside Left foot to right side, passes back with right foot. Repeat pattern with opposite foot. Rotate after 10 passes.
Progression: Add a gate for player 1. Now player 1 moves with player 2. Player 2 uses first touch to go through gate, then pass to 2. Repeat pattern with opposite foot.
Coaching Points: Receive with a diff foot than pass. Receive ball into space (angled and forward). Keep feet moving, get in rhythm of pass and drop, pass and drop. Position body to receive on the desired foot, straight on. Player 1 should mimic Player 2 / apply lessons learned. Heel down, toes up. Emphasize proper weight over accuracy (accuracy will come with time). Keep ball on ground.
