Heath & Regents Session Plan

Session topic Agility and Plyometric work

Area 1:

Players use quick feet through the standing poles. When they get to the end the person with the ball in there hand will serve the ball to the player for different technical work, ie volley, thigh volley etc. The ball should be played back into the servers hand, and the server will place the ball on the floor and join the back of the line. The player who did the quick feet work will then run onto the secon ball and dribble around the standing orange cone, stop the ball where he started from and then become the server for the next player in line to repeat.

Area 2:

In this diagram the orange cones are standing upright, they should be laying down side by side to enable different activiites, ie hops etc. At each end there is a player at each end who is serving the ball in from hand to develop technical skills work, similar to that in Area 1. Rotate players at regular intervals.

Area 3.

One player jumps, or hopes or any other activity over and back of the hurdle in front, on the second activity when you are in front of the hurdle you do technical work to play the ball back into the servers hand. The serve places the ball on the floor and joins the line whilst the player who was receiving the ball swaps places with the server.

Area 4:

Working in pairs, one player serves the ball to the receiving player, start with volley. Then the server simply goes back a cone each time the skill is completed, the receiving player will do a exercise to either his left or right dependan on what side is next, at the end players rotate.
