Main Moment - Ball Possession Opponent

Key Principle - Prevent the ball and the opposition players to get into goalscoring positions 

What - The opponent is in our defensive third and we are trying to defend the goal and prevent the opponent from creating and scoring goals 

Who - our back 4 and midfield 2 

When - when we are defending deep in our defensive third and the opponent is trying to create a goalscoring opportunity

Where - In our defensive third

Why - Because the opponent is trying to score

Session objective/Team Task - Are we able to deny the opponent from creating a clear goalscoring opportunity

Player Tasks 

#2 and #5 - Can you go into a position where you deny a pass between you and the #3 and #4 and can see the player you're responsible for

#7 and #11 - Can you go into a position where you prevent a pass between you and the #6 and #8

#6 and #8 - Can you show the opposition #6 and #8 away from goal

#6 and #8 - Can you go into a position where you prevent the opposing #6 and #8 to play between you

Everyone - If the opponent plays backwards can we go forward 2 steps

#1 - Can you defend the space in front of you when the opposition #2 #7 #5 #11 have the ball
