Pattern 2:
Key coaching points:
9 moves off shoulder -- if you want ball in one channel, you run the neighboring channel.
10 plays on clock face to 9 -- create angles
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Pattern 3:
9 checks into space between lines
10 goes beyond and 7 goes to goal to exploit space behind
9 has choice of channels to play either 7 or 9 in on goal.

1v1 Simulate attacking flank
Blue player dribbles at red and attempts to beat red to access shooting/crossing zone.
Coaching points: try to use pace and deception to beat the defender.
Emphasize principles:
1- drives to bye line and passes across 6 or
2- drives centrally to create a shot.
(Note: 3rd choice would be to try to cross if can't beat defender)
Switch roles from A to D.
After 5 minutes switch flanks.

The Game (8v7)
Initially, restarts are from coach down the flanks -- try to get the ball into 7/11 as much as possible and use the patterns we have rehearsed.
Coaching Points:
Tempo-- make your decisions quickly in final third
Use of width -- good starting positions to create operational space in the channels and between the lines
Combine -- use variations of what we have done to get the ball into the net
Fullbacks -- can we attack on the overlap when the winger is engaged and create 2v1 (into 1v0)?
