Technical Warm-Up : (Passing in Pairs) :
16 players passing a ball in pairs
Distances ranging from 3-14yrds between the pair
Touches/conditions vary (1 touch, 2 touches, pass with the same/opposite foot that you controlled the ball)
Passing techniques (inside of foot, driven pass, lofted drive, toe pass, outside of foot, bended pass etc..)
Progressions :
1 - passing 1-2 touches 4-6 yrds apart
2 - 1st touch to create new passing angle
3 - passing 10-15yrds apart
4 - "Checking to Receive" (moving to the ball to receive, moving away after the pass (timing of runs)
5 - Options to control, pass back or turn (instructions given by passer to receiver)
Coaching Points :
* 1st touch into space to create new passing angle
* 1st touch to turn
* "Check shoulder" before receiving the pass (look behind you)
* Pace & Accuracy on the pass
* Communication to receive the ball (when, where, how ? etc...)

Passing and Moving in groups :
6 players per group, each group has 2 balls
Area is divided into 4 grids
Groups are passing and moving all over the field
Progressions :
1..Player must use different surface on each pass (toe, inside, outside, laces etc..)
2.. Players pass in number order (1..6) and move into space
3..Players pass from one area to a player in another area moving into a 3rd area
Learning Objectives :
Short passing into space for players on the run
Coaching Points :
Open body position when possible
Timing, accuracy and weight of passes into space
Visual and verbal communicatiin between players
Surface selection (inside, outside, toe, heel and bottom of foot)
Disquise on the pass when possible

Small Sided Game :
2 teams of 8's, 2 teams playing 5v5, with subs, subbing every 2 mins
Field size - (28x16yards) with 2 large goals + GK's
