4 players on the outside stay on their own line
Instructions and variations:
- The 4 greens play keep ball while the 2 blues press to break up the play
- You can change it up from unlimited touches, to 2 touch, to 1 touch, to 1 or 2 touch
Progressions/Regress/Conditions-Challenge-Target:
- How many consecutive passes can you make?
- 2 or 1 minute blocks, same 2 in the middle, how many times can you win the ball? Green players do a press up for every time the pair win the ball.
- 5 minute block, 5 lives each and you lose a life every time you end up in the middle - who can survive? When you get to zero you still carry but the ones at the end with lives left win the round.
Coaching Points:
- On your toes and springy
- Inside of the foot, correctly weighted pass
- Moving to prepare to receive
- Receive on back foot
- Close control, inside of foot and cushion ball out your feet ready for quick pass with second touch
- Move the ball quickly
- Body shape, deception of pass

Main focus is to observe positioning and coach individual and units on their positioning depending on where the ball is on the pitch.

- 2 Team 9v9
KEY FACTORS:
- The Objective is to get the ball into the feet of the False 9s
- Ball has to be played on the ground only up towards the False 9 Zone
- When False 9 receives ball quickly set an attack to try and score
Coaching points
- Firm weighted passes to reach target
- vary breaking lines & going around
- False 9s moving and rotating picking up different positions all the time
- All attacking team players to receive ball on back foot half turn and ensure checking over shoulder
