Players are dribbling in the grid performing a variety of ball mastery tasks (toe taps , boxes, foundations).
- They then try to do a skill move at the cone (competition)
- Change Direction (change) / Switch ball (switch)
- Numbers game
- Defender added etc
Coaching points:
- Variety of surfaces
- Head Up
- Both feet
- Moving into space
Questions:
- Where is the space I can dribble into?
- What happens to my touches if I'm dribbling into a big space vs smaller space?

Smash and Grab
Players try to keep their ball away from the defenders. Defenders try to kick balls out of the grid. Upon losing their ball, the attackers can join in and help your team-mates keep the ball away from the defenders.
Coaching points:
- Decision making (when and where to shield vs pass)
- Thought of where defender is before taking 1st touch after pass
- Skill moves
Questions:
- Where's the defender? Where's the space I can go into to move away from defender?
- How can I help my team-mate if I don't have a ball?

In pairs, players pass and move in the grid. (Add competition as needed)
1. Play to team-mate's feet and then move into a new space.
2. Play into space for your team-mate to receive on the run after a sequence of passes.
3. Play the ball into team-mates feet and then pressure immediately. Receiving player has to take 2 touches to get a point before team-mate can steal the ball.
Coaching Points:

PROTECT (tight touch to keep ball close to body)
PREPARE (touch to help set up your next decision)
beat PRESSURE (positive touch in a direction you want to go into)

In groups of 2/3, players must pass and move in the area. Teams score points by receiving the ball in the triangle and taking their 1st touch out of the triangle (it cannot come out the same way it was passed in).
Progression :
- Players cannot be stood awaiting the pass, they must arrive after ball is passed
- Add in defenders / 2 teams keepaway

- 3 P's of first touch (Prepare / beat Pressure / Protect)
- What should my body position be when I receive (according to where I want to go)
