Phase 1 or 6
Set Up: 2 cones/player(1yrd apart), 1 ball/player as per diagram above
Instructions: Players to perform exercises listed below, each exercise can be performed for 1min or 1.5minutes. Have players count their touches on the ball and log the amount performed for each exercise.
1) Bells- Using the instep of both feet you pass the ball between each foot while moving laterally from one cone to the other performing the technique "Bells" also known as foundations or tick tocks.
2) Lateral Toe Taps- Player performs toe taps while moving laterally. Minimum of 3 sets of toe taps (6 touches) from one cone to the other. How to perform "Toe Taps", player uses the soles of their foot to tap the top of the ball while moving the ball laterally cohesively at the rythem of the player as they perform lateral movement.
3) Speed "L Turn"- Player peforms the "L Turn" as rapidly and precise throughout the time limit. How to perform "L Turn", Player has the ball next to or to the side of their body, for this example we will say ball is on the left side of the player. The player places their left foot on top of the ball (stepping on the ball) and rolls the ball back towards their planted foot (right) and then pushes the ball towards the right side of his/her planted leg. (ball performs the "L" Shape). Once the first "L" is completed the player repeats with opposite foot making their way back to the original start point.
4) Bell Servandos- This is a combination move which requires fast feet and capability of utilizing multiple parts of the foot in this footwork. How to perform "Bell Servandos" the player performs "L turn, outside foot touch then performs bells and then repeasts sequence by going the other way.
5) Bell/Bell/Outside/Inside- As the title of the skill indicates.
6) R9 Pullbacks- Look to create a smiley face while performing this technique. Pull back then touch across with instep to other cone, inside touch forwards then perform R9 pull back.
