Coach red team
When GK gets the ball both FB's pull out wide to there receiving line
Body position facing oppositions corner flags
Why? ( so there first touch is a positive one facing forward)
Who is his options? (WMF CM or CF)
Why? (how have they made themselves an option to receive, what kind of movment? what kind of run?)
If GK has the ball & FB's are marked can CH offer himself as an option?
How? (what kind of movement does he use to create space)
If ok to receive what is his first touch like?
Postive, can he play forward?
If FB's & CH are not an option can GK use WMF players ?
What is there starting position(facing inwards)
Why? (so they can see everything)
If WMF player receives the ball:
What are his options? (inside to CM or forward to CF or can he use FB?)
If GK has the ball & CH creates space can GK use CM player?
What are his options?(WMF, FB's or CF?)
What are the triggers the other players work on to determine who CM passes to?
If GK has no option in his half can dribble out?
Who can he pass to?
How (whick kind of pass short/long)
Can GK kick ball into space for CF to run onto?
Can CF control or does he challenge to win ball in the air?

Principle of play
Using FB
When Gk has ball in hands or from a goal kick FB pulls out wide to his receiving line
Body position facing oppositions corner flag. Why?
A good first touch with back and forward looking for options.
On FB's first touch(trigger CM player moves towards or away from FB)
If CM moves towards FB :
What type of movement is it angled or straight? What's the benefit of both? Where is his options then & who( WMF or CF)?
If FB passes to CM & he moves away from FB:
What has he created and How has he done that, What happens next? Options for CM
What is FB's movement after he passes the ball to CM? Drop off to offer a pass back? Or can he move forward up the pitch remembering his body position changes to more side on the further up the pitch he goes to the half way line.
If FB passes to WMF:
How does he react to WMF's touch? If bad or not positive does he offer a back pass to recycle the ball to start again. Who else is an option for a negative movement?
CH Why? How? Where?
If WMF touch is positive:
Who is an option? ( CF or CM) What is there movement & How have they decided this? What is the trigger?
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Principles of play using CH
If GK has goal kick or ball in his hands, can CH become and option?
What kind of movement does he use to create space? Show coach ( double?)
What is CH's body postion to receive the ball?( side on with most of the pitch visable)
If a goood touch (trigger):
Who then becomes an option for CH & why? (FB CM WMF CF)
FB can push WMF player up the pitch to create space in which to receive a pass to start an attacking play
CM can come short and pick the ball up working on his body postion to receive & play forward?
CM can move side to side to create space to play forward
CM can act as a wall to pass out to FB's or back to CH
WMF can come short to receive the ball & start an overlap with the FB
WMF can receive the ball & attack the space infront of him (down the wing)
WMF can pass to CM to start a combination play to receive straight back
WMF can pass to forward to CF & Support. How? Why? Where?
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Principles of play using WMF & CF
If the GK has the ball in his hands. Can the WMF players pull out to there receiving lines?
With an early throw from the GK. How has the WMF controled the ball? Is it positive can he attack the space infront?
What is the CF movement & where does he move?
If the WMF attacks the FB can he go outside down the wing? CF would then pull away from Blues CH To make space and time his run into the penalty box for a cross from the WMF player.
Will he go near post or far?
What's the Reds other WMF player doing? Where does he run to? Can he wait to time his run if the cross is to strong for the CF?
If the WMF player controls the ball who can he pass to? Can the pass be positive to CF into space down the line fore CF to run onto. What kind of pass? What's his movment after the pass? Can he support the CF? How? ( Go down the line to receive the ball back for a cross to the back post for the run of the other Red WMF player)
Can the WMF pass into the CF's feet?
What kind of movement does CF make to receive the ball?
CF has back to goal.
What does he do? Sheild the ball? How? (Use of arms/body)
CF turns Blues CH to get a shot away.
Which part of the foot?
Where on the ball? ( Depends where the GK's position is)
Can CF turn Blues CH for a shot outside the box? What kind of turn?
If WMF player controls the ball passes to CM
What is his next movement ( stays where he is)(moves towards CM)(goes down the line to receive the ball back from CM)
If WMF player is closed down quickly can he use the FB to pass to? (recycle the play)
If WMF player holds onto the ball.
What is the FB's movement? Can he create an overlap by running outside WMF player?
What does the WMF player do the?(Support the FB for a combination pass? Or drop into FB's position as cover)
If GK decides to kick the ball to CF
What does the CF do?
Try and will the header for WMF players to run onto?
Or can he control the ball? Which part of the body?
Who can he bring into play? CM?
What's his next movement?
