Organization:
6 players per area. 2 Players on middle line. 2 players on either end line.
Instructions:
2 middle players pass the ball between themselves. Holding the ball for 3 seconds in between.
Coaching Points:
- Movement as ball travels
- Covering player being in position to block penetrating lane
- Communication between players (specific information)
- Pressuring player keeping pressure on if attacker dribbles the ball
Progressions:
- Middle players can decide to dribble the ball if they wish too.

Organization:
-Three sections. 5x 20/ 10x 20/ 5x 20= Total field area of 30x 20 yards
Instructions:
-Offence in both 5x20 areas. Defence in 10x20 area.
-Goal- Defenders to not let the ball pss trough their area, especially not get split by through pass.
-Attackers must keep the ball on the ground and have 3 touches.
Coaching Points:
Defenders
-Close down the ball asap with closest defender.
-Compactness. Make them play around
-Better to allow a pass down the side and regroup then get beat through.
Progressions:
-Remove a defender.
-Allow one defender to pressure in the attacker's area.
Regression:
-Limit to 2 touch

Organization:
3v3 to line
Instructions:
Players play 3v3 in 30x20 grid. Attacking teams look to pass into the pugs or dribble between the two gates. Both are worth 2 points each.
Coaching Points:
First Defender
-Angle of approach – Direct the player one way on the field, take away option of advancing forward
-Should begin to notice where their ‘help’ is behind them in order to know which direction to force them
-Speed of approach – Approach fast arrive slow
- Body Shape- knees bent, on the balls of their feet
-Front foot tackle vs back foot tackle if the ball gets away from 1st attacker
-PRESSURE/DELAY
Second Defender
-Position themselves ‘off’ the 1st defender in a position to cut off penetrating passing, dribbling and shooting options for the 1st attacker (30 to 45 degrees)
-Can compress the space between them if the 1st defender has ‘tight’ pressure on the 1st attacker
-Cannot compress the space as tightly if the 1st defender does not have ‘tight’ pressure on the 1st attacker
- Can track players immediately off the ball
-Can be more than one 2nd defender
-COVER
Third Defender:
-Track attackers making runs away from the ball
-Provide balance away from the ball, so that a weak side pass will not become a huge advantage to the offensive team
-Tighten up the space in the center of the field to cut off passing, dribbling, shooting lanes for attackers
-Can compress the space if there is tight pressure and cover around the ball
-BALANCE

Organization:
-5v5 with GKs.
-Both teams playing in a 2-2.
Instructions:
-Fifa rules.
Coaching Points:
-Travel as the ball travels. Can you tackle on the first touch?
-Identifying the role of the first defender and applying pressure quickly.
-Make contact with the attacker.
-Back two players staggered depending on which side the ball is on.

3. Succesful meg- player that got megged stays in again.
4. Ten passes in a row- pair stays in again.
Coaching Points:
1. Head up to see where you will play before you receive the ball.
2. On your toes ready to receive from anyone.
3. Restart as quick as possible.
