Organization:
- Space adjusted as needed
- W/R ratio 2:1 or 1:1 where possible

Instructions:
- 2v2 in the grid, players score by dribbling across the endline.
- Rotate sides after each round
- Progress into 2v3's as shown above
Coaching Points:
- Second defensive principle of cover
- Speed and angle of approach
- What do we want to deny? Where? Why? How?
- Body shape
- When to tackle vs when to jockey
- How are we tackling
- Where do we want to force the play?
- As the ball moves how do we switch off from pressure to cover or cover into pressure?
- When to delay vs when to move in for the ball

- 20x20 yards area
- 6 coned goals
- Teams of 3
Instructions:
-Play 2v2 in the area
- Teams try to score a goal through any three of the small goals they are attacking
- The extra player on each team can move along the goal line his team is defending
- If the player is standing in a goal, no goal can be scored there

- Pressure/Cover
- Compactness
- Angles of defending.
- Organization
- Communication with 3rd defender
Progressions:
- The player standing in the goal can come out when his team has possession and attack 3v2

- Attacking player passes into team mate in a wide postion then makes a run to support the attack
- 1st defender applies pressure and delays the attacker so that their team mate can recover.

Organization:
1. 30x20 area set up as shown
2. Two even teams
3. One ball
4. Give each player on each team a number
Instructions:
1. Two teams play 3v3, trying to score a goal
2. Players sitting out will rotate in every 2 mins
3. Players rotating in will get the next 2 numbers out (i.e. 4 & 5 enter, 1 & 2 come off)
4. Players sitting out use that time to grab water
Coaching Points:
1. Body positioning
2. Field positioning
3. Making eye contact
4. When to pass vs when to dribble
Progression/Regression:
R - Take a player off the field, play 2v2

Ensure coaches have plenty of soccer balls on hand to maintain the temp of the game
Set Up
Set up two fields 20m x 15 m with goals at each end.
Emphasis
This is a free game which should stimulate expression, initiative and the creativity of the players.
Encourage the players to take each other on and run into space to score.
The aim is develop their technique and individual tatical play
Encourage players to use the dribbling techniques they have learnt.
