Move to 4v2 in each half or dependent on player numbers an attacking overload. Aim is to retain possession while trying to find the target areas in each corner. A pass is to be made into the corner target so a team mate can run onto it and receive it in that area. Progress session by not allowing same target area to be hit twice in a row or taking away target areas.

Maintaining the 2 passing sections, teams play passing combinations with each other unopposed but still at a high tempo. Each player in each half is again numbered. Coach sets up on sideline and shouts out one number and plays the ball into the centre, that number in each square react quickly and break out of the areas to attack the goal in a 2v1. The pass and move exercise in each area continues.

Passing combinations and ball possession (20 mins)
2 squares passing amongst themselves in a variety of passing combinations, quick sharp passing with plenty of movement. Each player in each half is numbered 1 to 6, on coaches command different number combinations will be called out, i.e 1 and 3, 4 and 5, these players will then attack the other half and try to win the ball from the other team, if and when they do their aim is to get the ball into one of the 4 target areas in that half. The first team to do this wins and play will reset in their own halfs.
